Eric Gross is a Bay Area native who was raised in San Carlos, California, and graduated from Carlmont High School. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in Financial Mathematics and Statistics from University of California, Santa Barbara before beginning his career in financial services in 2008.
Eric holds his life insurance license, FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 registrations, and has earned the professional designations of Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified in Long-Term Care (CLTC®).
Eric focuses his practice on working with pre-retirees, business owners, young professionals, and growing families throughout the Bay Area.
Eric believes financial planning should be both comprehensive and personal. He is passionate about being accessible to clients and serving as a trusted sounding board for important financial decisions. His planning approach integrates investments, insurance, retirement planning, and risk management into a coordinated strategy tailored to each client’s goals.
He also collaborates closely with a network of trusted professionals, including accountants, attorneys and other trusted advisors, to help ensure clients receive well-rounded guidance across all areas of their financial lives.
While Eric still works with many educators, he now focuses his practice on working with young professionals who are starting families, in addition to pre-retirees who are anywhere from 5-10 years away from retirement.
Eric is passionate about being available to his clients and serving as a sounding board for their financial decisions. Eric prides himself on being a comprehensive financial planner as he works with his clients on building strategies that encompass both insurance and investments. Eric also leverages his network of industry experts and refers his clients to others that handle matters he does not, such as accountants and attorneys.
Eric is an active member and past President of the Greater Bay Area chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He is also involved with the Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill Chambers of Commerce.
An Eagle Scout himself, Eric is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
Eric lives in Pleasant Hill with his wife, Koko, and their two children, Nico and Paige. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, mountain biking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends exploring new restaurants throughout the Bay Area.
