Background

Greg Van Ess has been a Bay Area resident for much of his life. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY.

Career

Greg’s career has spanned global business development, including an international executive position based in Singapore with a Fortune 50 company, small business acquisition and ownership, formulation of a non-profit for prescription drug abuse and awareness, and the successful turn-around of a high-tech semiconductor company.
He launched his career in financial services to help young families, pre-retirees, and small business owners through holistic financial planning, based on his extensive life experiences. Greg holds his life insurance license, FINRA Series 6, 63 and Series 65 registrations.

Personal:

Greg has realized significant financial gain, financial loss, family trauma, and the challenges of an Alzheimer’s caregiver. He lives in Grass Valley with his wife, Robin of 35 years. They have a daughter Lauren and grandson Luca. They love the outdoors, cooking, entertaining, gardening, hiking, skiing, golf, and tennis. Greg is a drummer and has appeared on stage in Nashville amongst other gigs throughout his life.
